Terry & the Zydeco Bad Boys debut CD entitled "Make You Feel Good."
The zydeco youth explosion continues with the auspicious debut of Terry and the Zydeco Bad Boys.

For three of the members being just 20-years-old, including accordionist Terry Domingue, the Bad Boys show remarkable maturity and poise. In terms of evolutionary development, this is closer to a second or better effort. Their innate sense of timing is impeccable, which means windfall dividends for all the happy dancing feet.

While everything rides an even keel here, the group admirably diversifies the proceedings somewhat.

"Wake Up Old Man," with veteran guitarist Kent August's searing leads, fits the bill of the dance-arousing opening number; snappy groovers like "Keep On Movin'" and the trail ride-paced "You Gotta Move" unequivocally translate as "this is not the time to sit on it."

Additionally, there's an infectious waltz "Blue Moon Waltz" (dedicated to the popular Lafayette hostel hangout), a well-executed rendition of Boozoo's "Johnny Billy Goat," and a breezy trip to the islands with Bob Marley's "One Love."

Finally, the dudes say good night with "Bad Boys Groove," another display of versatility with a sleek foray into jazz. No fluff, no guff, just solid stuff from the purported bad boys of zydeco.
