We at The Zydeco Historical & Preservation Society are very sorry and extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Willis Prudhomme who died today of complications related to COVID-19 at the age of 88.
Mr. Willis Prudhomme was our “Living Legend” and was an inspiration to many of us in the Zydeco Nation.
To his family, who shared Mr. Willis Prudhomme with the entire Zydeco Nation and the world,
our love and sympathy are with you at this dark and empty hour.
We will update everyone on funeral arrangements as soon as we receive further information.
