The zydeco music community is mourning the loss of one of its own.
John Warren Prejean, Sr., died last Saturday, August 3, 2013. He was 64.
Prejean fronted a number of local bands and also worked as a sideman for singer Little Bob and trumpeter Warren Caesar.
Most recently, Prejean was an accordionist and lead singer for the Creole Zydeco Farmers.
Visitation will take place this Saturday morning from 7 A. M. until 1 P. M. at Syrie Funeral Home on E. Simcoe Street.
The funeral will begin at 1:30 P. M. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Martin Luther King Drive.

Lafayette, Louisiana at the age of 64.
