“The Zydeco Workout featuring Lola Love” is a radio project of the Zydeco Historical and Preservation Society (www.ZHPS.org), a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the preservation, understanding, and development of Zydeco music, history, and culture as well as rural Creole culture of Southwest Louisiana and Texas. Zydeco music is a unique form of music expression, originally from Southwest Louisiana (Opelousas - Zydeco Capital of the World).
The Zydeco Workout featuring Lola Love is the first and only webcast, and one of the few traditional radio programs dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the contemporary and traditional music and culture of Zydeco Music, Louisiana and Texas Creole culture, the Blues and Southern Soul Music. Hosted by “the Zydeco Lady” Lola Love, the Zydeco Workout represents a new beginning in Zydeco, Southern Soul, and Blues music culture!
You’ll hear brand new music as well as those traditional musical classics, see new video premiers, artist interviews, and “tid-bits” about the Zydeco Southern Soul and Blues Nation!
