Mrs. Regina Tatum with Ajah and Asiah Sias at Holy Ghost

the original founding members of the Treasures of Opelousas, the
grassroots organization that organized and developed the Original
Southwest Louisiana Zydeco Festival (the world's first Zydeco Festival)
in Plaisance, Louisiana before it was take over by the
Southern Development Foundation.

Good health is even more important for seniors more than other age group for several reasons:
- the risk of disease and lost mobility is greater and
- the positive effects of adhering to a healthy lifestyle are realized more quickly.
The hardest part is getting started! Here are few tips for good health and happy aging:
- Eat a balanced diet
- Exercise regularly-Choose an exercise you like and stick to it.
- Get regular checkups.
- Don’t smoke, It’s never too late to quit.
- Practice safety habits at home to prevent falls and fractures.
- Always wear your seatbelt when traveling.
- Avoid overexposure to the sun and the cold.
- If you drink alcohol, drink in moderation.
- Keep a positive attitude toward life.
- Take up a hobby, do things that make you happy.
Remember, it's never too late to start!
